New to climbing? This 5-day course is the perfect way to get started — outdoors, hands-on, and surrounded by nature.
You’ll learn all the basics: how to tie knots, belay, abseil, set anchors, and even lead climb. We’ll also introduce you to essential safety and rescue systems, giving you a solid foundation for future adventures.
Training happens in two of Kathmandu’s most beautiful national parks, blending technical learning with peaceful forest settings. At the end, you’ll walk away with your Basic Climbing Training Certificate—and a huge boost of confidence to keep going.

Itinerary
- Pickup from hotel at 9:00 AM
- Travel to Nagarjun National Park
- Gear introduction & safety briefing
- Learn knots (figure-eight, clove hitch, prusik), belaying, and route types
- First outdoor climb on beginner routes
- Return to hotel by 4:00 PM
- Morning drive to Shivapuri National Park
- Learn to set and clean anchors using bolts, carabiners, slings
- Practice abseiling (rappelling) techniques
- Return to hotel late afternoon
- Drive to climbing site
- Practice multi-pitch techniques & top belaying
- Learn lead climbing, rope clipping, dynamic belaying
- Return to hotel by 4:00 PM
- Review and refine all learned climbing techniques
- Practice rescue methods: self-rescue, assisted belay escape, hauling systems
- Strengthen rope handling and emergency response skills
- Return to hotel
- Demonstrate learned skills: gear use, knots, anchor setup, lead climbing, rescue basics
- Evaluation by instructor
- Receive Basic Climbing Training Certificate
- Post-training celebration + return to hotel
